Hp Laserjet 1536dnf Mfp Scanner Software
I got this message from the employee after upgrading her to a new computer(from xp to win7): Can you see if you can find something on my ADF/scanner? Let me explain what it’s doing differently. Before the upgrade, I would load my scanning software in the morning right after Outlook. I could scan all day either via the ADF or the flatbed. It automatically detected if there was something in the ADF because of the little trigger that is pressed when you lay paper up there. Now, I can load the software but it will not switch back and forth between the ADF and the flatbed.

If the first document I scan is with the ADF that’s all it will look for from then on. Likewise if the first document is on the flatbed, then I don’t care how many times I trigger that switch, it only scans from the flatbed. To get it to switch to the other scanning method, I have to close the software and re-open it. I don’t know whether it’s just something in the driver or something that I don’t have set right. Anybody know what she is talking about?
Thanks, for the info Joe, I forgot to mention I did already install the software. Her complaints are that her old version of the software(disk that came with it probably) automatically defaulted to the ADF if there was a paper in it, when scanning. Otherwise it would scan the glass tray she calls the flatbed. Now, with the new software, the scanner selects the ADF or the flatbed on startup. In her words, 'To get it to switch to the other scanning method, I have to close the software and re-open it.'
>Did you install the latest v15.0.15188.928 dated 20-Oct-2015? And was it the Full Feature Software and Driver, not just the driver? The software is up and working on the computer. The Best Of The Specials Zippyshare.
It is the latest software. I installed in on the 23rd after downloading it directly from the companies website. While I would have very much preferred to install just the driver, the user was already familiar with the HP suite of printing and scanning software, so I was forced to use v15.0.15188.928 despite my desperate severe hate for anything ever released by HP that is called a driver but is really bloatware. My problem is that the bloatware software is on there and the user wants me to work on it.
I really don't want to do that, and I pay a monthly fee for this website so I thought I'd roll the dice. >my desperate severe hate for anything ever released by HP that is called a driver but is really bloatware In HP's defense, they're not calling that a driver — they're calling it Full Feature Software and Driver, and it's a lot more than a driver (they do have downloads for just a driver). >My problem is that the bloatware software is on there I'm with you on this.
I never use HP software to scan. I use just their scanning drivers (ISIS, TWAIN, WIA, WIA2) with other document scanning/imaging software.
But since your user wants to use the HP software, that option is not available to you. >I pay a monthly fee for this website so I thought I'd roll the dice. I'm trying to help, but if the latest HP software for W7 doesn't work (or doesn't work as the XP version did), I'm not aware of a way to fix it. But here's an idea. Although the user wants to use the HP scanning software, it would be useful (for troubleshooting purposes) to try another piece of scanning/imaging software, but still utilizing the HP scanning drivers (TWAIN, WIA, whatever), to see if the ADF malfunctions in the same way.
If the ADF works fine with other scanning software, that will tell you that the HP drivers are fine and that the HP 'bloatware' (as you call it) is the problem. Regards, Joe.
